Merle Taylor was inducted into the Christmas Tree Wall of Fame on August 20th 2004. 

Merle is a pioneer in the development of the Christmas Tree Industry within Nova Scotia through her long-standing contribution to the Northeastern Christmas Tree Association. She has served as President and fullfilled a great many of other Committee and Board roles. 

Merle unselfishly provided support to enable the Northeastern Association to contiue to operate and become the strong and vibrant organization it is today. 

Merle for year assured the Christmas Tree and Wreath Competition was an annual feature at the Eastern Exhibiton in Antigonish. always keenly interested in the advancement of the Christmas Tree Industry, Merle always shared her knowledge, and along with her late husband Fred, were tree industry builders. Merle and Fred instilled their zest for life, strong work ethic, love if agriculture, quest for knowledge and strong comminity involvment to their five sons and their families. We are blessed that they included Christmas Trees as their extended family!
